My name is Al B. I’m an alcoholic and addict, these are my designs and my stories. I founded Scribe because I’ve always been intrigued by what people choose for their tattoos and the stories behind them. My own tattoos remind me of people I love and they also remind me of my past and how I’ve changed which inspires me to be a better person.
Like the Scribes of biblical times, we are storytellers. The stories of our past and how we have changed can benefit others. That’s why at Scribe, all our tattoo-inspired designs have backstories about living a sober, spiritual and tattoo lifestyle.

Lauren White
By the age of 18, Lauren had found the strength to become sober and decided to make it her life mission to help others turn their lives around, and climb out of the darkness back into the light. She gained experience working with the Amy Winehouse Foundation and other similar companies to get out and about into institutions so she could conduct talks based around her own personal story and recovery.
Nowadays, Lauren combines her motivational speaking with 1 on 1 coaching, helping individuals who are battling depression and anxiety. Through coaching and addiction counseling, Lauren is able to help her clients become the best versions of themselves, without turning to self sabotaging and spiraling behaviours. Her motivational speaking duties are mostly targeted at large brand companies with a strong focus around mental health and the well being of employees.

Inspired by the rituals of antiquity, Max Fathom created Ecstatic Dance in Hawaii in 2008. Since then, it has spread throughout the world and serves as a meeting place for people from different backgrounds who dance as a way to express themselves, not impress others.

After spending my entire life in Greece and Egypt, I decided to move to Paris, the Mecca of the arts in order to draw inspiration from Western contemporary artists. Music is the Drug
From a very young age, founder Chelsie Cahoon knew that she
never wanted to use substances. It wasn’t because of any traumatic events that had happened in her life; she just simply knew that she did not want to ever partake in such activities and made a vow to herself that she never would. To her, the idea of consuming something that could potentially harm or affect her body was not something that she ever wanted to be a part of, although she would never judge someone who did decide to choose that lifestyle. She wanted to break the stigma that sober people are judgmental because there are many people who practice sobriety and love all!
